Volunteer Committees

  • Admissions: Sell and issue daily tickets, manage Will Call, scan tickets at main entrance gates. Responsible for checking credentials as guests enter hospitality areas, the Clubhouse and       handling wristband station. Regulate traffic around Indian Creek parking lot, including the designated parking spaces for sponsors, vendors, media as well as PGA TOUR players and officials.   Monday-Sunday
  • Central Scoring: Volunteers are responsible for verifying all Walking Scorers on course are reporting scores, supplying help to the scorers if there are questions or issues pertaining to their system or group. Also serves as a switchboard/communications hub between on-course and operations. Thursday-Sunday
  • Check-In/Out: Make sure that volunteers sign-in/and get to their chair persons to report for work.  Monday-Sunday
  • Corporate Relations: Assist Corporate Sponsors and Tournament Staff in the chalets and pavilions. Assist the staff in organizing and distributing sponsor ticket packages and assist during sponsor orientation. (Public relations, marketing professional or student preferred.) Must be 21 or older. Thursday-Sunday
  • Gala: Assist with Pairings Party where sponsors find out which golfers they will play with at the Pro-Am. Duties include greeting, registration, and tear-down. Sunday prior to Tournament Week
  • Golf Carts: Control inventory and distribution of golf cart keys to authorized personnel. Wipe off carts each morning, clean carts each evening and charge all carts. Must be 16 or older. Monday-Sunday
  • Information Tent: Individuals that supply a courtesy element to the tournament by being able to assist any spectator with questions pertaining to the tournament. Thursday-Sunday
  • Marshals: Assigned to certain holes, crosswalks or other high traffic areas to help with crowd noise and congestion. Must be able to walk to your hole. Thursday-Sunday
  • On-Course: Set-uptear-down of the tournament which includes all signage, trash (during tournament), carts, meshing, etc. Tear-down assistance of the tournament which includes removing  everything that was brought in for event. Must be 16 or older. Monday-Sunday
  • Pro-Am: Duties include planning and execution of Pro-Am tournaments and Pro-Am parties, distribution of Pro-Am gift packs, execute the Pro-Am tournaments on Monday and Wednesday, including marshaling, player check-in and assisting on the driving range. Some areas of this is considered a “physical” position, and you must be 21 or older. Sunday, Monday and Wednesday
  • Product Distribution: Responsible for distributing ice and beverages to all Hospitality Areas, Concession Stands, Player Dining and Volunteer Headquarters. This is considered a “physical” position, and you must be 21 or older. Must be able to bend, stand, walk, carry and life 25+ pounds as well as endure the heat/weather. Monday-Sunday
  • Public Relations:  Handles most media relations leading up to, during, and after the tournament. Duties include set-up and run the Media Room during the tournament; maintain a relationship with the local media along with the PGA TOUR media contact; set-up and run Media Day. (Public relations, marketing professional or student preferred.) Monday-Sunday
  • Special Events: Committee handles Youth Day activities, which includes the Youth Clinic and Autograph Session, as well as other fun events during the week. Tuesday
  • Standard Bearers: Carry a standard that has players names and is responsible for changing the player’s score as needed throughout play. This is considered a “physical” position, as you will carry a sign for an entire round of golf (approximately 5 hours). We recommend that you should be in good physical health when volunteering as a standard bearer. Thursday-Sunday
  • Start/Finishing Tents: Starting Tent Volunteers distribute caddy bibs, maintain snack and refreshments, and also assist in crowd control; Finishing Tent personnel assist in verifying the players scorecards. Thursday-Sunday
  • Tear-down: Tear-down of the tournament which includes all signage, trash, fence, rope and stake, carts, meshing, etc. Monday, August 3-Friday, August 7
  • Volunteer Assistance: Volunteers that are on course to assist other volunteers as needed. Make rounds to on-course volunteers to support them by bringing beverages and snacks. Thursday-Sunday
  • Volunteer Headquarters: Responsible for operation of Volunteer Headquarters during tournament week. Includes set-up, clean-up, and maintain a clean organized volunteer headquarters. Monday-Sunday
  • Walking Scorers: Walking Scorer must be available to work an entire round and walk an entire 18 holes   (about 5 hours)   carrying a Samsung G5 hand-held device & wearing a voice radio with his/her assigned pairings. A thorough knowledge of golf is necessary for this position as scoring includes recording statistics on the data device. Must be 18 or older. Thursday-Sunday
