Upcoming Youth Day Events at The Pinnacle Bank Championship

August 3, 2023

Youth Day presented by RSM & Hero Hut returns to The Pinnacle Bank Championship

The Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna is proud to host Youth Day presented by RSM. Each year, the Pinnacle Bank Championship brings families together with a multitude of events that support charities and children in the Omaha area. Events this year include the RSM Putting Challenge, yard games, and autographs from UNL, UNO, and Creighton student-athletes. All youth, 15 and under, will be allowed to enter The Pinnacle Bank Championship on Saturday, August 12 for free.

The RSM Putting Challenge, a staple of Youth Day at The Pinnacle Bank Championship, will start the day off at 10:00 a.m. Teams from multiple nonprofit children’s charities will participate in the event. Each team will have a Korn Ferry Tour professional, two youth charity participants and one sponsor representative to caddie.

Each nonprofit children’s charity will receive a $5,000 donation from The Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna. Additionally, participating youth will receive a group photo, a gift bag, an autographed scorecard, complimentary admission to The Pinnacle Bank Championship for family and a complimentary lunch. The sponsor participant will receive an official caddie bib.

The top-finishing team will receive $7,500; the second-place team receives $5,000; and the third-place team receives $2,500, in addition to the $5,000 that each team receives. The total potential charitable contribution to nonprofit children’s charities is $100,000.

“The Pinnacle Bank Championship understands the importance of today’s youth. They impact our kids through the game of golf and want to make sure all of these charities and the kids they support are impacted. It’s all about the kids, and The Pinnacle Bank Championship supports that wholeheartedly,” said The First Tee of Omaha Program Director Taylor Sidzyik.

Yard games and autographs from local collegiate student-athletes will start at 11 a.m. as well. Yard games will include a variety of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. The student-athletes present will include Maddie Krull, Alexis Markowski and Allison Weidner, members of the University of Nebraska women’s basketball team; Charlie Zielinski, representing Creighton University’s men’s golf team; Evan McDermott, representing the Cornhuskers’ men’s golf team, and Megan Whittaker, representing UNL’s women’s golf team; and Sydney Taake will represent the University of Nebraska-Omaha’s women’s golf team. These student-athletes will be available for autographs until 12 p.m.

The Pinnacle Bank Championship will also honor all active military, veterans and first responders with free admission to the event. Along with free admission, the Hero Hut hospitality area is available to these individuals and their families. The Hero Hut area has covered open-air seating with great views of the competition. The tent will also include complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

All spectators of The Pinnacle Bank Championship are asked to park at the Metropolitan Community College campus. Shuttles will be running to and from the event for the full event. For more information, please visit thepinnaclebankchampionship.com/event/spectator-information/.
